Origins of the club
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
A quartet of terrier enthusiasts Mrs Victor Higgon (formerly Miss Edwardes), her husband Mr Victor James Higgon, Captain Jack H. Howell (the Master of Foxhounds) and Mr Adrian Howell, met to discuss the potential of building a foundation for the club of the Sealyham Terriers and sent notices to local newspapers in attempts to find interested parties to join.

1908 Formation of the Sealyham Terrier Club
1911 Kennel Club Registration
On application of Lord Kensington, the Clubs' President, the Royal Kennel Club recognised the breed and gave it a place on its register of the breed on March 8th, 1911.
The club celebrated it's centenary in 2008 with a Championship show, located in the grounds of Sealyham Manor. Visitors from around the world enjoyed a weekend of celebrations.
Friday, 11th April saw the start of a very special weekend on a coach tour of the North Pembrokeshire area. An evening talk with guest speakers Frank Kane and Hap Sutcliff III. On Saturday, visitors were treated to a demonstration of Sealyhams working in river "Sealy"with Otterhounds this was followed with a celebration dinner, and live music at the Wolfscastle Country Hotel.
The Sealyham Terrier Club Championship Show was held on Sunday 13th April, judged by Mr. Frank Kane which has drawn an entry of 63 Sealyham Terriers.
