Criteria For Inclusion On The Judges Lists

A joint criteria has been adopted by all Sealyham Terrier Breed Clubs, for eligibility for inclusion on each section of the list which is detailed on the above 2024 Judges LIsts.  

 

A1 List
• Judges who have previously been approved toward CCs in the breed and have the support of United Sealyham Terrier Judges Panel. (USTJP)


A2 List
• For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 List and who have assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by The Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of United Sealyham Terrier Judges Panel.


A3 List
Breed Specialists
1. To have a minimum of seven years in breed and have the support of the USTJP.
2. To have judged at least, one Breed Club Open Show.
3. To have judged breed, at least at 3 Open Show or Championship Shows without CC’s with adequate geographical spread .
4. To have judged a minimum of 20 breed classes.
5. To have judged a minimum of 40 dogs in these classes.
6. To have attended a Seminar given by a K.C Accredited Trainer on K.C. Regulations & Judging Procedures and passed the relevant examination.
7. To have attended a Seminar given by a K.C Accredited Trainer on Confirmation & Movement.
8. To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar run in accordance with the relevant K.C. Code of Best Practise and passed an assessment and/or examination where applicable.
9. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3dogs when they obtained they first entry in the K.C. Stud Book.
10. To have stewarded at 12 shows.

Non -Specialists
1. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include at least 5years in this breed), and have support of the USTJP.
2. To have awarded CC’s at least, one breed.
3. To have judged at least one Breed Club Open Show.
4. To have judged breed at least 3 other Open Shows or Championship Show without CC’s with adequate geographical spread .
5. To have judged a minimum of 20 classes in the breed.
6. To have judged a least of 40 dogs in those classes.
7. To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar run in accordance with the relevant K.C. Code of Best Practise and passed an assessment and/or examination where applicable.
8. To have stewarded at 12 shows.
9. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3dogs when they obtained they first entry in the K.C. Stud Book.

B List
Breed Specialists
1. To have 5 years owning and exhibiting in the breed and have the support of the USTJP.
2. To have judged a minimum of 3 classes of Sealyhams at Open Shows on Championship Shows without CC’s.
3. To have judged a minimum of 9 dogs of the breed in these classes.
4. To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar and passed an assessment where applicable.

Non -Specialists
1. To have minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and the support of the USTJP.
2. To have judged at least 9 classes of the Sealyham Terrier breed at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CC’s.
3. To have judged a least 20 dogs of the breed in these classes.
4. To have attended at least one Breed Specific Seminar and passed an assessment where applicable.


C List
For aspiring judges who have shown and can display an interest in the breed and have the support of the USTJP.
